Up for sale is an original WWII German Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) 1939, complete with its original ribbon.
This example is maker marked “25” on the suspension ring, attributed to Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plakettenhersteller, Hanau, a known and desirable manufacturer.
The cross features a classic three-piece construction with an iron core showing a natural, untouched patina consistent with age. The silvered frame retains a strong finish with honest wear, giving it excellent eye appeal. The core displays the correct 1939 date on the obverse and 1813 on the reverse.
The ribbon is original and included, showing some period wear and fraying, which is typical and expected. It still presents well and completes the piece nicely.
A solid, authentic example that has not been cleaned or altered—perfect for collectors looking for a genuine, untouched Iron Cross from a known maker.
