Up for sale is an original WWII German Silver Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber).
This example is a solid wartime piece featuring a clearly stamped L/13 maker mark, attributed to Paul Meybauer, Berlin under the LDO system. LDO-marked wound badges are less commonly encountered and are desirable among collectors.
The badge retains a strong silvered finish with honest wear from age. The helmet and crossed swords design remains well defined, with good overall detail.
The reverse shows a complete and functional hinge, pin, and catch assembly with a some damage.
