Up for sale is an authentic WWII German M42 Luftwaffe combat helmet.
The helmet is stamped NS66, indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, one of the major wartime helmet manufacturers.
The helmet retains its original Luftwaffe blue-gray wartime paint with honest field wear and patina. The Luftwaffe eagle decal remains partially visible with natural age wear.
The helmet still retains its original chinstrap dated 1942, which is a desirable feature among collectors and I have went to extreme lengths to authenticate this chinstrap.
The liner is period named “Helf. Hönickl P.”, adding historical character to the helmet.
